That was rude of you

You make me think there's gonna be some decent animation and maybe some college humor might come in but no. You tricked me into watching like a half hour long craptastic fake flash movie in a flash movie and the final joke wasn't worth it! Shorten up the crappy one and lengthen out the good one...don't be lazy and just say I'm done...
Very rude sir, very rude.

RandomFilms responds:

Did you miss the part where I wrote "PLEASE READ FIRST!!!" and a whole paragraph saying it's not going to be that great? Or in the second paragraph where I said it's a class project not a real episode? Or how about in the third where I indicated it's not going to make sense?

Maybe I should have the title read "please read author comment's first so you won't be tricked into a cartoon about something that is vaguely different from the title"

And yes, this response is very rude

That was brilliant!

I'm still chuckling. I love the way you put that seriousness into it. A satire on dying to a goomba; BRILLIANT!

Sh0T-D0wN responds:

This makes me feel happy.

I watched all the way through and...

I can't give you a zero for the amount of work and time I'm assuming you spent on this. But the jokes were terrible. I think the only joke I liked was the last one about they're extra marks. Other than that it was just one long poor sound quality flash, and it's enormous...26.6MB?

JunkYardAnimations responds:

haha i have no idea how it turned out to be 26.6MB, i'm obviously doing something wrong, even my shorter flashes end up big. anways sorry u didnt find it funny at all, and thanks for calling the jokes terrible :)

You tried

I don't know if this is another "my first" flash movies. But go look up some motion tween tutorials and animation tutorials then try to make it again. I promise you'll do way better next time even if you only read 1.

Possible potential

5 - because it looked like a test and quality
Criticism:
Looks like you spent some time on it and like it's one of your first flash animations. Some tips. Spend more time on detailing and editing frame by frame and up the frames per second to at least 20.

criticisms

I'm sorry it took you two weeks to make that so before you post anything else I highly suggest looking through animation tutorials. With just the basics you can make something 10x better than that in a day.

Congratulations

It wasn't boring. I actually would like to see the next episode but there's some major improvement you can do on the animation. Look up some tutorials to make your walking and animations in general smoother. The art style wasn't awful but I would have liked to see some more practice (refine it).
Story: Somewhat unoriginal but you left room for a lot in the next one so not too bad.
Artwork: Was mediocre
Animation: Choppy/Sloppy
Style: Great. Music quality was great, I like the old style film roll too.
Effort: Well put forth and flash viewers appreciate time spent on a flash.
So keep up the good work and get some practice in. Your fourth or fifth flash should start looking amazing.

Not Great (because you're a novice)

The 3D animation and "complex" tweens were decent. As for a flash I dropped your score to a 5. The non-3D aspects of the flash didn't look like they were a finished product and if they were I don't mean to insult.
If they weren't though I don't think you should submit anything that is 1/2 done. It doesn't really benefit anyone especially yourself. For pre-submission reviews ask friends and family. They'll usually be the 2nd most honest people.
Keep practicing and submit something you'd consider a finished product.

Mariofan9 responds:

Thank you.
I really tried to present it well, so yeah ... I don't upload unfinished projects here since that is frowned upon. It was supposed to be a finished project.

Allow me to review your review. It's a good review, but you need to be clear before you knock off 50 % of the score; all you can state is that the non-3d parts don't look like a finished product, without any reason. I feel like I'm being treated slightly unfairly because of this.

I didn't like it, but I'll give you some props.

As far as the clay-mation goes, it was very smooth, much better than I could do. From the voice acting (I'm assuming) you're rather young; and, I further applaud the job you did.
For the joke or jokes, I couldn't tell. I'd find someone to write you a script and maybe someone else to voice act for you. Do the animation and devote more time to that so you can produce something well worth giving a 3-5.
I hope to see a much cleaner submission next time.

No sir. I didn't like it.

You look like you really wanted to do this but you got tired of it half way through so you threw in some really crappy Bush joke so you could submit it and get feed back.
I don't know much about either game but you look like knew a bit about both to animate whatever you animated there; so at least you had that down. The voice acting isn't a problem; I don't know how you would get someone to sound jus tlike sephiroth or whomever.
Good attempt mate, don't know how you made front page but props to ya for that'll.

fadedshadow responds:

okay

I prefer frame by frame animation over motion tweens because of the artistic feel. Then again you can't be great with out using all your tools.
